Q&A
Who is your ideal cohort member?
An experienced leader who has built a successful practice and knows that growth and opportunity require moving beyond their own skill sets and leadership abilities. Someone who finds most of their day putting out fires, juggling tasks with people, clients, and operations, and needs guidance on how to get the most out of themselves and their business.
What unique quality do you bring to the cohorts you lead?
I bring a clear understanding from the operational to the human side of an organization. I’m skilled at distilling complex issues down to simple, actionable models that are easily communicated, implemented, and measured.
Why do you enjoy doing the work that you do?
I have learned by standing on the shoulders of giants. I would not have achieved nearly as much as I have without the mentors and peers who have been my informal cohort through the years. Being able to pay this forward and seeing the “ah-ha” moments unlock in those I work with is one of the greatest joys in my professional life.
What’s one hard-to-believe fact about you?
I dropped out of college to pursue a career in professional bicycle racing, and failed spectacularly. That experience taught me that growth paths are never linear, often painful and frustrating, highly incremental, and usually extremely fulfilling if you’re focused not just on the horizon but on the journey.
